Integrating Mathematics with Engineering

With the experiences in our STEM program with personal experiences at the Johnson Space Center, I have seen quite a bit of integrated subjects into projects. What was intriguing about the Jamerson school was how they developed an engineering unit through their elementary, reinforcing and scaffolding the design process with measurement. These are the experiences that schools need to offer in which grade levels are more coherent with one another and build connections that students will have continual experiences with. I wanted to know how their PLC functions because I have seen and experienced some PLC, however feel that the efficiency and successes have not been optimal.
